ASSOCIATE CONSUMER MARKETING MANAGER

The Google Marketing team is responsible for marketing the company's exceptional product portfolio to end users, partners and customers on a worldwide basis. We have a variety of roles, including product marketing, creative services, event management, quantitative marketing and field marketing.

As an Associate Consumer Marketing Manager, you will work on the marketing strategy and execution for several Google consumer products (including Google search, Orkut, YouTube, mobile and others), and be responsible for driving product awareness and usage. You will be expected to understand marketplace, design and execute promotional campaigns, work with product teams to launch new products, liaise with partners on co-marketing initiatives, and work with external agencies on creative and event-based projects. You will work closely with Google's sales, product and partnerships teams to build Google's business, in a fast, start-up like environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and commission research studies to gain knowledge about user attitudes and behavior.
  • Organize accurate tracking for marketing campaigns and perform post-campaign analysis of results.
  • Assume ownership of marketing strategy and product promotion success for one or more of Google's consumer products.
  • Create messaging, case studies, product pitches that optimally position the strengths of our products.
  • Design and execution online, offline and partner co-marketing campaigns for Google's consumer products.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of post-university work experience
  • Solid organizational skills with ability to manage and coordinate projects that span multiple locations
  • Understanding of Google's strategic, competitive position, search, online advertising, or web publishing markets
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a high degree of analytical rigor
