Job description:
Executes on the brand strategy set forth by Brand System leadership. Has extensive working knowledge of and experience in using marketing and communications concepts, methods and activities and applies this knowledge to lead the development of strategically-sound and operationally-detailed brand strategies, plans and programs as an integral part of the global business plan. Serves as subject matter expert for the IBM brand, the IBM brand character, and a values based brand strategy. Advises on brand strategy, enables IBMers on the brand promise and ensures consistency of brand activities to the larger strategy.Inspires the development of creative and innovative marketing vehicles that are designed to take customers through a step-by-step process of acceptance of the IBM brand. Ensures these activities positively affect customer behavior, increase awareness, and get measurable, actionable results.Extends knowledge of the brand across all stakeholders in the Wheel of Influence.Represents Brand System organization as part of the Global Brand Community.Is held accountable for achieving Brand System goals based on metrics, developing and launching programs. Helps drive relevant brand initiatives and strategies (CC&CA, advertising, homepage, sponsorship, IBM client centers, etc.).Understands Experience change methods and helps lead local IMT Experience initiatives. Ensure that marketing communications – such as logo use, naming, spaces, brand experience, client centers, etc. – are on-brand and consistent with guidelines. Oversees IBM's public homepages and corporate portal pages, ensuring alignment to brand strategy.Develops social media and search strategies.Is responsible for IBM's advertising in-country, including agency relations, campaign effectiveness, budget, etc.Manages the sponsorship process, including identification, business case development, invitations, budget, agency involvement and execution.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 6 months experience in Apply Marketing and Communications Principles
- At least 6 months experience in Develop Communications Strategy/Plan
- Basic knowledge in Apply Business Knowledge
- At least 6 months experience in Apply Global Perspective and Cultural Adaptability
- English: Fluent
- Spanish: Intermediate
- Advertising/Journalism/Media Studies
- At least 2 years experience in Apply Marketing and Communications Principles
- At least 2 years experience in Develop Communications Strategy/Plan
- At least 2 years experience in Apply Business Knowledge
- At least 2 years experience in Apply Global Perspective and Cultural Adaptability
