SR. MARKETING ANALYST

Position Overview:
  • To provide analytical support and insight to the hotels.com marketing, retail and operations team.
  • To improve and deepen our understanding of marketing, site, retail, ops performance, including our customer base and of the online travel industry at large, via insight driven ad hoc analysis and regular reporting
Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and reporting of marketing, trading, retail and site performance on a regular basis to provide insight into senior management.
  • Analysis and reporting of customer travel trends. 
  • Support prioritisation of strategic projects/efforts. 
  • Analytical support to Hotels.com strategy and initatives. 
  • Influence the marketing / strategy teams to drive their business performance and implement decisions based on analysis. 
  • Share expertise with other analytical units across the business. 
  • Liaise with the operations / PPC / EAN analysis teams to integrate their analysis into the Hotels.com business and act as a stakeholder in setting their analysis objectives. 
  • Become part of the wider analysis team sharing delivery of overall team goals.
Qualifications:

  • University Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in analysing data from databases
  • Demonstrable skills in working with spreadsheets/pivot tables and databases
  • Ability to understand technology with a particular focus on e-commerce
  • Strong experience in an analytical role
  • Experience of using MS Excel and SQL
Desirable:

  • Experience of analysing data and creating models in SAS / Clementine or other statistical package
  • Experience of building and understanding Business Objects reports.
  • E-commerce experience, with focus on web analytics
  • Experience with medium to large scales volumes of data
  • Knowledge of statistics / analysis techniques
  • Travel industry experience a plus
