Essential Responsibilities:
The region communications manager is responsible for developing effective working relationships with the region executive, and other key stakeholders, including region HR, P&L contacts, Region Marketing, Sales and Govt. Relations to understand stakeholder objectives and gain support of programs.
- Responsible for developing and executing external and internal communication strategies including the Region Executive’s strategic leadership communication plan for the assigned region to achieve functional, business, and broad company objectives aligned with the business Growth Playbook.
- Own, develop, and execute a wide variety of communication initiatives involving public relations, media relations, branding, collateral, executive communications, advertising, web content, trade shows, technical seminars, and customer events.

- Contribute to regional growth and achievement of commercial objectives,
- Increase brand strength of GE Energy as the “Most Favored Company” (local brand),
- Provide positive influence to public policy,
- Identify and mitigate potential reputation risk issues,
- Connect employees to GE Energy & GE initiatives,
- Build GE as “Employer of Choice” and contribute to employee retention,
- Drive pipeline for new hire candidates.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with GE Energy P&L. GE Energy initiatives communications teams and GE corporate communications teams to establish effective working processes and integrate communications programs.
- Identify select, and coordinate outsourced resources including PR agencies as needed to assist in execution of the above deliverables.
- Establish and manage communication budget for the region.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing or Engineering.
- At least 5 years experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations/Agency, or Marketing Communications.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English mandatory (Spanish recommended).
