LATIN AMERICA PR MANAGER

Based in Sao Paulo, our next PR Manager, Latin America will:

  • Develop PR plan for specific vertical industries and field marketing initiatives, partnering with industry and field marketing teams.
  • Manage external PR agency in plan development and execution.
  • Manage relationships with a variety of media including tech, business, local, and vertical and across media types including blogs, online, print and broadcast.
  • Lead global PR initiatives for one or more vertical industries.
  • Plan and attend media events, including interviews, dinners and tours.
  • Manage speaking opportunities and awards programs.
  • Serve as company spokesperson on occasion.
  • Draft and edit press releases and by-lined articles to high standard consistent with company messaging and editorial guidelines.
  • Engage and brief FICO experts and spokespeople to respond to / generate specific media opportunities.
  • Respond to enquiries from reporters.
  • Develop list of editorial schedules and manage process to ensure FICO is favorably represented in key features.
  • Coordinate press briefings, media training and press attendance for major company events.
  • Provide counsel to senior executives on messaging and media relations; manage media interviews.
  • Write and distribute company announcements.
  • Make changes to information on local website as needed.
Skills
  • Bachelors degree in communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant B2B PR experience.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing media campaigns (incl. social media).
  • Demonstrated success in securing media coverage in a variety of outlet types.
  • Experience managing PR agencies.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing successful working relationships with reporters and bloggers (references required).
  • Experience working closely with senior level executives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (samples required).
  • English speaking and writing skills important.
  • Ability to speak Portuguese as well as Spanish highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and demands concurrently.
  • Excellent writing skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to create and participate in collaborative virtual teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong personal initiative and drive.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Familiarity with content management in SharePoint is a plus.
