Job Description

Role Summary
  • Responsible for the Latin America Marketing Strategy for the Technology, Consulting, & Solutions (TCIS) Business.
  • Responsibilities may include assessment of existing and potential markets, definition and delivery of promotional activities, multi-client events and launch events. Activities include direction of the Business Unit solution’s advertising/promotion, and planning, developing and implementing marketing strategies together with Partners.
  • May facilitate the development of business plans and/or oversee market research and/or monitor competitive activity in the local market, and identify customer needs.
  • Works closely with Sales across multiple areas to prioritize, develop, and deliver the marketing plan.
  • Responsibilities may include the development of company marketing programs, assessment of existing and potential markets, recommendations for product life cycle planning, coordination of technical product development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities and product launch.
  • Activities may include technical sales support, product advertising/promotion, planning, developing and implementing multiple channel programs and directing the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product lines(s) , services and solutions portfolios.
  • Additional or alternate responsibilities may include identifying, creating, and managing business relationships with select companies to develop solutions and/or create complementary products/services.
  • Definition of mutual goals and objectives, and building awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of the alliance.
  • Provides for financial analyses, long-range forecasting, and analysis studies associated with potential alliances/ partnerships.
  • Developing metrics to assess the sales impact of the solution(s) in the marketplace and the overall success of the alliance. May manages activities through subordinate managers. In some instances this manager may be responsible for managing staff function and may not have subordinate managers
Role Purpose
Is a recognized team leader or functional marketing subject matter expert with local market expertise who drives the planning and implementation of local marketing programs for segments or alliances. Works within a specific segment or geography on behalf of a specific BU, cross BU, corporate marketing, or strategic alliance initiative.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes
  • Defines overall supporting marketing materials and delivers core content for marketing communications implementation, including presentations, sales collateral, direct marketing, and content and requirements for websites, events, and shows.
  • Frequently is the sole marketing resource managing marketing implementation in a given geography.
  • Produces all local marketing materials, local lead generation programs, and provides event management.
  • Provides local pricing input to segment and solution teams.
  • Peer and manager level interaction with customers, alliances and industry influencers.
  • Peer and manager level interaction within Unisys.
  • Some executive interaction within Unisys.
  • This team leader or Subject Matter Expert contributes through his/her specialty expertise to execute the organization’s direction.
  • Applies and broadens skills in his/her specialty and may lead and mentor others.

Key Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of marketing experience, with 5 years technology experience.
  • An ability to work strategically but deliver at the tactical level is a key requirement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are an important requirement for this position. Proficiency in English is required.
  • BA and/or MBA desireable.
  • Has critical domain expertise, global industry or specific industry and client business knowledge required to perform the job.
  • Has the critical product and technical knowledge required to perform the job
  • An MBA or higher degree is recommended.
  • Proven track record for delivery results under compressed timelines
  • Ability to influence multiple groups cross-functionally and cross-region
  • Strong knowledge of business and marketing strategy, concepts tools and techniques
  • Strong analytical, strategic and command skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
