VERTICAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Responsabilities:

Responsible for the development of company vertical business (Education, Healthcare, Government) in Brazil. This includes activities such as

  • drive vertical business strategy in Brazil and align direction key stakeholders
  • analyze country specific vertical opportunities (size, profitability, ease of execution, etc.)
  • identify vertical content providers in the local market
  • develop engagement plans to launch joint Dell-content provider solutions, delivering comprehensive vertical offering
  • create new business plan to integrate Dell standard solutions with partners, reaching broader solutions and market
  • engage with third party entities e.g. NGOs to create joint work plans and solutions to the public market
  • work together with sales to understand specific solutions needs and build appropriate offering
  • build proof of concepts with reference customers to validate solutions and drive business opportunities
  • explore early stage vertical opportunities together with sales teams
This individual will receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet objectives. He will work independently and exercise judgment to achieve company quarterly and annual goals (financials, operational, etc.). His work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. He will establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s). Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs or negative financial impact.

  • Various sales leaders in country (GM, RSMs, etc.)
  • External content providers (VPs, CEOs)
  • External customer executives and managers
  • Other third party leaders in NGOs
  • Services, S&P, Procurement organizations supporting Brazil
  • LATAM and global counterparts in vertical business (APJ, US, EMEA)
  • LATAM Product marketing team
  • LATAM VP and Executive Leadership Team.
Skills & Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of the Brazilian market dynamics, technology and public sector
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing principles, application, and brand management
  • Advanced analytical skills, particularly with statistics and competitive analysis
  • Fluency in English, native in Portuguese. Spanish is a plus
  • Advanced negotiation skills, including cross-cultural negotiation experience
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, primarily profit and loss statements
  • Good understanding of quality principles and Dell's customer experience concepts
  • Basic skills in using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word software applications
  • 8-10 years professional experience (5-7 years with a Masters Degree).
